Sunday Night follows 75-year-old Margot, who is one of Brazil's greatest actresses. She has been married for more than 50 years to Antônio, an award-winning writer who suffers from advanced Alzheimer's disease.

While she struggles to maintain her independence and care for her husband alone, she faces great difficulties in completing her latest film. Above all, she struggles to maintain love despite her husband's failing memory.

When Margot discovers that she too suffers from the same illness, she must reestablish contact with her children in order to maintain her independence and die in peace.

Curiosity: the idea for the screenplay came from the real-life experience of screenwriter Bruno Gonzales, after the death of his grandfather, the first signs of dementia of his grandmother.
